Envusa inaugurates K2 renewable energy projects

Energy trader Envusa Energy in April inaugurated its flagship 520 MW Koruson 2, or K2, cluster of renewable energy projects in the Eastern Cape and bordering the Northern Cape. Tasneem Bulbulia tells us more.

Envusa Energy is a joint venture between diversified miner Anglo American and EDF power solutions. Envusa Energy CEO Nicole Mason tells us more about the partnership and the K2 cluster.

As alluded to by Mason, the K2 Cluster comprises three major projects – the 240 MW Mooi Plaats solar PV facility in the Northen Cape, the 140 MW Umsobomvu wind project in the Eastern Cape and the 140 MW Hartebeesthoek wind farm in the Northern Cape. Mason highlights the milestones the inauguration is commemorating, and further ones being targeted.
